Every single panel in your new garden home is made on a variety of CNC machines. CNC Machining is a process used in the manufacturing sector that involves the use of computers to control machine tools.
Tools that can be controlled in this manner include lathes, mills, routers and grinders. Only by using such machines are we able to make every single component of each panel to a tolerance of +/- 0.2mm. This guarantees that every single panel or element of your garden room interlocks perfectly every time.
The materials used in the manufacture of our interlocking panels and beams are a combination of timber frame, fireproof Magnesium Oxide board and EPS insulation. These materials are glued and pressed together to form an incredibly strong, stable, composite structure, which when locked together using the patented locking system form a structure which is effectively unbreakable.
The only way of separating the panels is to use the tool which locked them together – to unlock them. This means that an Instant Spaces building can be deconstructed and transported elsewhere as easily as it can be constructed in the first place.
We use redwood pine for the timber frames in the majority of our panels.
The internal core of our panels is filled with EPS Insulation. EPS’s main benefits are its structural and thermal properties. The floor, wall and ceiling panels are filled with EPS and due to the unique way our patented interlocking panels are manufactured we have all but eliminated “cold bridging”.
Our buildings are therefore the warmest, best insulated garden buildings on the market. As the patented system we manufacture is UKAS tested and certified for building houses and schools, we guarantee that our luxury garden homes are as thermally insulated as your existing house.
This means that they cost virtually nothing to heat and the energy consumption and cost of running your luxury garden home is negligible.
The two outer skins of each of our interlocking panels are made up of fireproof magnesium oxide boards known as MgO board. MgO boards are suitable for a wide range of general building uses and for applications that require fire resistance, mould and mildew control, as well as sound control applications and many other benefits.
It is environmentally friendly and, because of the very strong bond between magnesium and oxygen atoms that form the magnesium oxide molecules (chemical symbol MgO), it has great strength and resistance.
MgO boards are used in place of traditional gypsum drywall as wall and ceiling covering material and sheathing, as well as in a number of other construction applications.
Since MgO board is mineral based and homogeneous, there will be no de-lamination over time. It is a green product, healthier to live in and it makes your building last longer.
